I am pursuing my PhD in Environmental Studies, and my focus is on human-painted dog interactions. Wildlife viewing is a popular activity for millions of people around the world, however, the majority of short and long-term effects of how and where we view wildlife are unknown. Our actions may have unintentional detrimental effects on both the species we view and the wildlife viewing industry itself if we harm or destroy the very species we are trying to observe and protect, as well as those who work in this industry.
My research aims to understand the effects human presence has on free-ranging painted dog populations. I will post updates highlighting the process, but am also happy to answer any questions along the way.
